      <image:caption>Meditation, Yoga and Nutrition are key elements in holistic health, and by their very nature make you a happier person. If you have ever dreamed of living a life free of anxiety and stress and stepping into a life dreams are made of, you must join my classes today! I have never been able just to do one thing - fact. For over 15 years, I’ve been a successful digital creator and author. But alongside this, I have always taught Yoga and Meditation. This came from my interest in promoting good mental health. In 2020, like most people, my life changed. After years of teaching yoga and meditation classes in my spare time, I opened a Yoga studio in the UK. Over the course of that year, I faced many challenges and had to pivot the business to keep it afloat. But, soon the restrictions meant my lovely Yoga studio was a shadow of the nurturing community space it had been. Times were a’changing. After careful consideration, I packed up shop and took a high-pressured job co-ordinating Covid-19 operations around the UK in the private medical sector. I needed to do something that was making a difference. Desk Yoga helped me recover from an injury My body protested at being crammed into a chair for 7-hour stretches of time. My back ached, my shoulders ached and I put on weight. Then, I had an accident and tore the soft tissue in my ankle. I was a mess, I couldn’t walk let alone run, I couldn’t drive, or cycle, I could only manage to get to and from the office. I was in shock - what had happened to my strong, 5-yoga-classes-a-day body? There was only one answer - sitting in a chair for long periods of time. This was nothing knew for me as a writer and content creator, but doing office work was different. Sitting at a desk, rushing through the day, eating convenience foods, and hunching over a telephone and computer meant I was a shadow of the fit and healthy person I’d been months previously. As a writer, I’m a curious person by nature, surely something in my yoga training could help support the physio work I was doing? But, the truth was, I was hesitant to teach yoga again. It had been a tumultuous few years and I wasn’t sure I would ever teach again. But I knew I needed it, probably more than ever. Practising desk yoga and meditation together was a quick and effective way to heal my body and mind! So, I started small - I added some seated yoga into my rehabilitation work. Little by little I started to see some strength returning, not only in my body but in my mind too. Meditation was helping! Desk yoga and meditation were working together to bring me peace of mind, and make my body healthy again. Practising desk yoga and meditation every day soon meant I was feeling like myself again. Then I started teaching some co-workers and saw the effect of meditation and desk yoga stretches on them. The word spread and continues to spread. I consider myself lucky to be able to combine my love of marketing, creating content, writing and the wellness industry, with helping others. Wellbeing and Dreams are two things that are important to me. We have one life to be lived, and we should be living it showered in abundance and a sprinkle of happiness. I’ve helped many people over the years to pivot into life changes they needed to make. It’s part knack and part education. I was raised by entrepreneurs, and have learned a lot as an entrepreneur myself.
